| Put simply, these are people that hang out around the Marina in Beau Chene or somewhere along Tchefuncte River near Madisonville, LA. The more one hangs around, the higher their status within the "Inner Circle". The original "Inner Circle" started with a few boat owners that have boats docked within the Circle at the Marina. They usually have a florescent Palm Tree on their boat that identifys them as a member or possibly a florescent Pink Flamingo! Most weekends are spent, planning a feast, cooking out, enjoy each another, planning trips, etc. They have become a family that also celebrates birthdays, special holidays, and even vacations together with boat trips to Florida. Characteristics of the "Inner Circle" include an affinity for alcoholic beverages, a love of good food, a love of the water, a love of boating and how to yell "NO WAKE" !! If you hear someone standing on the pier screaming "Mattie----Mattie", you know you are in the presence of the "Inner Circle". Welcome!!!! |
